Oversee installation, testing, operations, and maintenance of satellite earth station equipment and service resolution of technical issues. Operate and maintain RF subsystem and all mechanical and electrical elements of the Teleport. Perform routine audits of all uplink and downlink systems for trend analysis and improvements. Identify root causes on technical problems and develop procedural and technical recommendations for improvement. Plan and coordinate implementation of new products into the production environment. Responsible for escalation and emergency response requests.
EchoStar Broadcasting Corp.Perform Satellite up and down linking of radio-frequency (RF) equipment. Perform troubleshooting and repair of Satellite Earth Station equipment. Monitor transmission streams, working with video and audio quality equipment, sound, color, and frame-accurate timing gear, maintaining the performance of MPEG-2 and 4 digital compression systems.
TEKsystems
Provide on-site Network Management and maintenance at Sprint's University of Excellence in support of the training lab. Equipment included: Ciena DWDM, NEC SONET equipment, Alcatel SONET equipment, TimePlex LINK equipment and various patch and test equipment.
Cisco Systems
Deliver oral presentations on Cisco's Optical Network Switches and Cisco's Transport Manager (EMS). Provide personalized support to account managers and customer engineering. Installed, tested and demonstrated equipment that garnered a multi-million dollar contract with Sprints M.A.N. project.
